“Hit the gym, eat better, and just get a lot of practice in front of the camera”

Alex is a model with Q6 Talent in Portland. In the past, he’s modeled for Nike and Kinfolk magazine. But that was a couple of years ago and he needed some updated images in his portfolio so he contacted me.

Alex is hoping to get more fitness modeling work with companies like Adidas, Nike, Reebok, and Columbia. So we made sure the photos show off how hard he works to keep in shape. Alex says he was very happy with how the photos came out.

“I loved the photos, they were awesome. I’m just really surprised at how awesome they were.”

He says it was helpful to work with me since I have a lot of experience working with beginners and relatively new models.

“It was really fun, especially for me as a beginner, I think it was a really helpful, positive way to start out. There was a lot of instruction, a lot of guidance, and it was a really comfortable environment so that really helped me warm up to the camera.”

Alex says it’s not always easy to act natural in front of the camera but that I helped him relax and be comfortable.

“It was just a really fun experience. It was a really comfortable environment and a great way to learn more about how to be in front of the camera in a stress free environment so I was just really appreciative”

Alex has some advice to aspiring fitness models too.

“Hit the gym, eat better, and just get a lot of practice in front of the camera. When I first started out, I was just super awkward. You know, only looking eyes onto the camera the whole time, no other poses.”

His goal now is to get more fitness model jobs. He’s also starting to explore the acting world and hopes to land some acting jobs in the future too.
