Editing video comes naturally to some. Not me. I’m slow at it, it’s not intuitive, and I’m never sure when I’m done. So I’m happy to finally have finished (is it finished?) this behind the scenes video from a couple of years ago.
A couple of years ago? Yup. A friend of mine (Chris Nolan) shot the BTS video and did a fantastic job. I “only” had to edit it and add in the still photos. Omigod. It took me a long time. No, I didn’t work on it everyday – in fact I was so paralyzed by my lack of video editing skills that I just kept putting it off and putting it off. I finally just sat down and banged it out and this is what I came up with.
The backstory is that Autumn (the volleyball player) used to be a pro-volleyball player (she played in Sweden) and also played college volleyball. She came to me for a modelling portfolio which thankfully came together much faster than this video! In the process of the volleyball photos, Chris shot all this cool BTS video that I’ve just had on a hard drive collecting digital dust for all this time.
Anyway, with spring and summer 2017 on the way soon, I figured it was a good time to finish the video and start promoting it to show potential clients what it’s like to work with me and what kind of results they can expect. I work really great on location and in fact prefer location photos to studio photos. I work with lots of energy and will definitely get you unique photos.
